Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end road freight import, export and cross trade operations for full load, groupage and intermodal shipments.
  • Receive, review, and process shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates).
  • Liaise with customers, customs agent, hauliers, overseas agents and delivery sites to ensure smooth movement of freight.
  • Provide shipment updates to customers and respond to enquiries promptly
  • Occasional quotations to external and internal customers
  • Raise invoices and cost approval against supplier charges
  • Road freight system and trackers
  • Responding confidently and efficiently within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
  • The Successful Candidate
  • Experience in road freight operations within a freight forwarding industry
  • Multi-modal freight experience would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of customs clearance processes
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office, (freight systems, MS Office, email)
