We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Coordinator to work for a medium/large sized forwarder.

The Gateway Coordinator will be working as part of the gateway team, responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient customer service.

Good understanding of working within a medium/large forwarder good knowledge of Import/ Export procedures as well as a good understanding of the freight industry security processes and complete understanding of HMRC, IATA, CAA regulations.

Role Involves

  • Previous experience of consolidation and gateway functions.
  • Customs reports as required.
  • Previous experience of working within freight forwarding.
  • Raise records in the ETSF and discharge T1’s from overnight DDX deliveries.
  • Manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining 100% safety and security.
  • Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, are updated in timeframes.
  • Cost Control.
  • Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships.
  • Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved departments.
  • Follow strict and time sensitive SOP’s/Kpi’s to ensure compliance.
  • Resolve queries from customers and suppliers.

Experience needed.

  • Previous freight forwarding experience.
  • Experience of working within Consols advantage
  • Previous gateway experience.
  • Experience of airline transport advantage.
  • Experience of DFT/CAA, HMRC, IATA regulations.
  • Keen to develop through training.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Used to working in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
