We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Coordinator to work for a medium/large sized forwarder.
The Gateway Coordinator will be working as part of the gateway team, responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient customer service.
Good understanding of working within a medium/large forwarder good knowledge of Import/ Export procedures as well as a good understanding of the freight industry security processes and complete understanding of HMRC, IATA, CAA regulations.
Role Involves
- Previous experience of consolidation and gateway functions.
- Customs reports as required.
- Previous experience of working within freight forwarding.
- Raise records in the ETSF and discharge T1’s from overnight DDX deliveries.
- Manage the sequential flow of consignments arriving and departing maintaining 100% safety and security.
- Ensure invoicing, job costing, CIA, are updated in timeframes.
- Cost Control.
- Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships.
- Ensure all daily work schedules are completed in line with approved departments.
- Follow strict and time sensitive SOP’s/Kpi’s to ensure compliance.
- Resolve queries from customers and suppliers.
Experience needed.
- Previous freight forwarding experience.
- Experience of working within Consols advantage
- Previous gateway experience.
- Experience of airline transport advantage.
- Experience of DFT/CAA, HMRC, IATA regulations.
- Keen to develop through training.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Used to working in a fast-paced working environment.
- Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
