A new opportunity has arisen for a Switchboard Operator at Daisy Hill Hospital Newry. This is initially a 3-month temporary role, working 20-25 hours per week between the hours of 9:00am–5:00pm. This will only be until full training is provided. Once fully trained, the role will move to a full shift rota including nights, weekends, and bank holidays, with hours potentially increasing to 30 per week and enhanced rates applying.
Standard hours: Monday–Friday 6:00am–8:00pm £12.51 per hour
Unsocial hours: Monday–Friday 8:00pm–6:00am & Saturdays £17.22 per hour
Sunday & Public Holidays – £22.34 per hour
The successful candidate will answer and transfer incoming calls efficiently, act as the hospital’s first point of contact during night hours, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with enquiries. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in keeping hospital operations running smoothly.
