New Opportunity as a Seasonal General Attendant within the Newry, Mourne and Down Council. The position is primarily based at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Newry. However, you may be required to assist at Kilbroney Forest Park and Camlough Lake. This role is an ongoing temporary role, initially for 3 months. It is 30 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.63.

The successful candidate will be operating the car park office, welcoming visitors, collecting parking fees, and providing a friendly customer service. The postholder will be responsible for handling money safely, keeping basic records, and reporting any faults or issues. Duties also include:

  • Opening and closing park facilities
  • Carrying out general maintenance
  • Cleaning and waste duties
  • Completing safety and security checks
  • Using tools and equipment as required
  • Providing first aid when necessary

The role requires flexibility to meet service needs and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer care while promoting a positive image of the Council.

What We Need From You:

  • 5 GCSE’s (A-C Grade including English & Maths)
  • 6 months relevant experience in a customer facing role
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues involved in working with the public and Manual Handling
  • Willingness to undergo an Access NI check
  • Full current driving licence and access to a car is desired
