New opportunity as an
Operations Service Manager within the Business Service Organisation. The successful candidate will be based with the ITS Cloud Team.
This is a temporary role, initially for 6 months. The working hours are 37.5 hours a week with an hourly rate of £24.45.
The role will be based at James House, Belfast.
The postholder will manage the daily operations of the organisation’s cloud systems, making sure they are reliable, secure, and running efficiently.
Key duties include monitoring performance, solving technical issues, and finding ways to improve how services are delivered.
The role involves working closely with different teams to ensure cloud services meet business goals and customer needs.
The postholder will also help drive improvements, increase efficiency, and support the growth of the organisation.
- What We Need From You
- Hold a university degree in a computer science related subject or relevant ICT professional qualification and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an ICT technical management role within a major organisation, OR have worked for at least 5 years in an ICT Technical management role within a major organisation.
- Have recent experience/knowledge of working with Infrastructure\Cloud technologies and licensing, such as Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft 365 & Azure\AWS\Cloud Technology, relational database systems, security, client devices and application support.
- Have experience of leading or supporting ICT projects with a budget of over £50,000.
- Have previous experience utilising a project methodology or contract management (e. g. PRINCE 2, other similar methodology).
