We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Stroke Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital within the Western Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of adults with complex acquired communication and swallowing disorders, with a particular focus on stroke-related conditions. This role involves managing a varied and complex caseload and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract: Until 31st March 2026 (with potential for extension)
- Pay Rate: Β£23.60 per hour (Band 7)
What We Need From You:
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults
- BSc Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC Registration (Health and Care Professions Council)
- Post-graduate qualification and/or training in dysphagia, with experience managing a complex dysphagia caseload
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including relevant post-graduate training
- Experience relevant to stroke care is essential
