We have an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker to work with a private client in a family centre based in the North Belfast area. This role is initially for a 3-month period with the potential of extension, starting immediately upon completion of relevant checks. This role has an hourly rate of £19.50 per hour.
Working Pattern: 20 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, and alternate Wednesdays.
You will work as part of a specialist team to support vulnerable children and families through assessment, targeted interventions, and therapeutic, trauma-informed approaches. You will help create safe, nurturing environments, strengthen family relationships, and develop parental skills and insight. The role also includes leadership responsibilities, line management, and participation in an on-call rota.
What We Need From You:
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience
- Experience delivering client-focused services, including holistic assessments and tailored family support
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions with children and families
- Understanding of trauma-informed and nurturing approaches, including therapeutic parenting
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, emotionally demanding environment with good time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce professional reports
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with families, colleagues, and external stakeholders
