We are currently recruiting Contact Workers / Social Work Assistants for a range of NHS Social Work teams across the Northern Trust area, including: Ballymena, Antrim, Magherafelt, Newtownabbey, Ballymoney, Coleraine. Additional locations may also become available.

These are temporary ongoing positions with immediate starts available and a minimum expected duration of 3 months. As a contracted supplier to the NHS, we can offer flexible placements based on your preferred office location.

Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm preferred
  • Part-time hours may also be available
  • £14.06 per hour plus overtime rates
  • Weekly mileage allowance paid

About the Role

Working alongside Qualified Social Workers, successful candidates will support a variety of service users depending on the team placement, including:

  • Children and families
  • Older people
  • Mental health services
  • Young people and vulnerable adults

These roles are ideal for individuals currently studying Social Work or those looking to gain valuable experience within the sector.

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a care-related setting such as: Schools, Childcare, Youth work, Care assistant/support work
  • A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care-related subject
  • NISCC registration
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a car and business insurance
  • Travel is essential for these positions.
  • An Enhanced Access NI check will be completed before employment commences.
