We are recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust for a Senior Care Support Worker to join the team at Chestnut Grove Intermediate Care Unit, Killynure House, Carryduff, starting in August 2026. This is a temporary ongoing position for a minimum of 3 months. The role is full-time, working 3x 12 hour shifts per week on a rota, including days, waking nights, weekends and public holidays. You'll receive a competitive hourly rate of £15.88 - £23.82 per hour, with enhanced pay for nights, weekends and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person centred care that helps people regain independence after leaving hospital
  • Support the day to day running of the service and help co-ordinate admissions and discharges
  • Assess individual needs, create care plans, and work with other healthcare professionals to support recovery
  • Support, guide and develop team members while promoting good communication and teamwork
  • Ensure safe, high-quality care by following policies, maintaining accurate records, and responding appropriately to incidents or safeguarding concerns

What We need From You:

  • Previous experience working with older people in a health or social care setting
  • A good understanding of delivering high-quality, person centred care
  • Knowledge of safe working practices, including medication, safeguarding, and health and safety
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work alongside different professionals
  • Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to the needs of the service
