Grounds Person immediately required for our valued client the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. This role is based in Pennyburn Londonderry. This is a temporary role for 6 months with a possible extension. The hours of work are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm on Friday with a rate of pay at £13.05-£13.47 per hour depending on experience.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience, be able to operate, use and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment and machinery such as chain saws, grass-cutters, hedge trimmers, strimmers, push mowers, ride-on mowers, and tractor mounted flail hedge-cutters.
What you will be doing:
- Establishing and maintenance of shrub beds and grassed areas
- Removing dead trees and planting trees
- Sharpen and renew blades for mowers
- To clean grounds and lift litter
- Where necessary display signs in work areas warning of dangers
What We Need From You:
- 1 year previous experience in a similar role
- A full current driving licence which includes B1+E or C1+E
