We are currently recruiting for an experienced Specialist Kidney Dietitian to join our client within the Western Health and Social Care Trust, based in the Renal Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialist dietetic care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.

The successful candidate will work within the Renal Unit, delivering expert nutritional assessment and dietary management for patients with kidney conditions, including those receiving dialysis.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care to support the best possible patient outcomes.

This is a temporary position for a period of Three months - Ongoing, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Full-time hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week), with part-time hours considered to suit service requirements.

The pay rate is £19.78 per hour, with enhanced overtime rates available where applicable.

Key Responsibilities Provide specialist nutritional assessment, diagnosis, and dietary management for patients with Renal disease.

Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans for patients attending the Renal Unit.

Monitor and review patients' nutritional status, adapting dietary interventions as required.

Work closely with consultants, renal nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support patient care.

Deliver dietary education and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust policies and HCPC standards.

Participate in service development, clinical audit, and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria Applicants must meet the following requirements: BSc Degree, Diploma, or MSc in Dietetics.

A minimum of 24 months' post-registration experience as a Dietitian.

Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Evidence of relevant postgraduate training and continuing professional development.

Previous experience working within a renal or kidney service is desirable.
