Family Support Worker urgently required to work through the Western Trust, Social Work team located in the Derry / Londonderry area. We are currently recruiting for five Band 4 Family Support Workers. Join our dedicated team supporting children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes.
This rewarding role involves working closely with Social Workers to support care plans, undertake direct work with children and families, facilitate supervised family contact, and contribute to parenting programmes. As this position is through our client, Western Trust, it is temporary ongoing (minimum of 3 months) with immediate starts available.
Hours of work are full time only, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with an increased hourly rate as per framework of £14.06, with weekend rates, and weekly mileage allowance available.
It is preferred that candidates have previous experience to apply such as working in a school, childcare setting, youth work, or care assistant for a minimum of 2 years with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care related subject. Successful candidates must be NISCC registered and have a full driving licence valid for the UK with business insurance, and access to a car, as travel is essential. Mileage allowance payment provided weekly. Enhanced Access NI Check will be completed prior to start date.
