We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Campsie. This is a temporary to permanent position, with an initial 16-week temporary period and the opportunity to secure a permanent role thereafter.
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles for the transportation of goods to and from designated locations
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and in line with company schedules
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures
- Secure loads safely and ensure compliance with all transport and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers
- Adhere to all tachograph and driver hours regulations
- Support loading and unloading where required
What We Need From You:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations
- Strong reliability and time management skills
- Flexibility to support operational needs when required
