Seasonal General Attendant required to work with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in the Downpatrick area. This is a temporary post required initially to cover April to June with the possibility of extension, working over a 4 day period including one weekend day. Hours of work are 20 hours per week on a shift pattern basis between 08:30 and 21:30 with a pay rate of £13.63 per hour.

Main duties:

  • Instruct and supervise the public at all times ensuring safe and orderly usage and visitor satisfaction is maintained.
  • Prevent unauthorised activities and comply with Management procedures and Council Bye-Laws.
  • Collect and ensure the safety of monies in accordance with procedures, and disseminate information and prepare and maintain records/reports.
  • Report defects and undertake general maintenance, cleaning duties, security/safety checks and emergency action/repairs.

What We Need From You:

  • 4 GCSEs all grade C or above to include English and Maths.
  • At least 1 year relevant experience in a customer facing role working with the public.
  • Willing to undertake an Access NI check.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
