We are currently recruiting two experienced Cooks for immediate starts within the Ballymena area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and bake in accordance with standardised recipes, agreed menus, and portion control guidelines.
- Cater for specific dietary requirements.
- Support special functions and additional catering requirements as required.
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and stored in line with strict food hygiene regulations.
- Maintain accurate temperature records for food, cold rooms, refrigerators, and freezer units in compliance with food safety legislation.
- Follow HACCP procedures, Food Safety regulations, and Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Assist with stock control, ordering support, stock rotation, and minimising food waste.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance issues, or concerns regarding food quality.
Skills and Qualifications
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in an industrial or commercial cooking environment, including baking.
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced Access NI check (£32 fee applies).
- Ability to complete 1 day of mandatory online training (held every Wednesday prior to commencement).

These roles are based at:Braid Valley Medical Centre – 8.00am to 2.00pmWilson House – 8.30am to 2.30pmBoth positions are 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is Band 3, £12.75 per hour.
