Join our team of dedicated Support Workers and make a real difference every day! We are recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to join our team providing summer cover within homeless accommodation services for the Simon Community in Coleraine from June through to September, with possibility for extension.
This role involves supporting adults experiencing homelessness, many of whom may present with complex needs including mental health conditions, substance misuse, and behaviours that challenge. As part of the service, you will work closely with residents living within supported accommodation, helping them maintain a safe and stable environment while promoting independence and wellbeing.
Duties will include:
- Supporting individuals with daily living skills
- Encouraging engagement with support services and the local community
- Assisting with tenancy-related responsibilities
- Providing both practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
You will contribute to person-centred support plans, promote positive behaviour approaches, and help create a supportive and respectful environment for all residents. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality support within homelessness services.
We offer flexible ongoing weekly shifts throughout the summer cover period, with both day and night shifts available: 8:00am - 8:00pm and 8:00pm - 8:00am. Competitive hourly rates range from £13.50 to £17.50 depending on shift pattern.
What We Need From You:
- 6 months experience working in a Healthcare Setting with personal care
- To be Niscc registered, or willing to apply
- To have, or be willing to attend all mandatory training courses
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access Ni check
