Join the team helping to keep Belfast clean, safe, and welcoming. On behalf of Belfast City Council, First Choice is currently seeking a reliable Sweeper Driver / Labourer to operate cleansing vehicles and carry out street and park cleaning duties across the city. Based out of Druncrue Industrial Estate, Belfast.

Hours of Work:

  • Sunday to Wednesday: 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • Thursday: 7:30am - 3:00pm (early finish)

Pay & Position Details:

  • £13.47 per hour
  • Temporary role for 3 months, with the opportunity for extension based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and maintaining council cleansing vehicles
  • Working as part of a small team across various locations in Belfast
  • Cleaning streets, parks, footpaths, and litter bins
  • Supporting general labouring duties as required
  • Following assigned daily routes and all health and safety procedures

What We Need From You:

  • A full, current Category C1 driving licence
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in commercial driving, outdoor cleansing, and dealing directly with the public
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
