Adult Safeguarding Officer required to work with our private sector client. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-respected, faith-based organisation with a strong commitment to safeguarding across the organisation.
As a key member of the Safeguarding team, the successful candidate will:
- Act as the organisations Adult Safeguarding Champion, promoting best practice and a strong safeguarding culture
- Receive, assess, and manage adult safeguarding concerns, providing expert advice and appropriate escalation
- Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records
- Support the development and implementation of adult safeguarding policies and procedures
- Deliver and coordinate adult safeguarding training and contribute to quality assurance and reporting
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Pay rate is £39,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience). This role will initially last for 6 months with the possibility of a permanent extension.
What We Need From You
- A qualification in Social Work with registration on the NISCC Register, or a degree-level qualification with experience in safeguarding investigations
- Minimum 3 years experience in adult safeguarding, including completing safeguarding assessments and written reports
- Minimum 3 years experience working with safeguarding legislation in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland
- Experience managing safeguarding concerns as part of a caseload
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Access NI check
