Handy Person is immediately required to work with our valued client, the NI Housing Executive. This role involves working alongside Patch Managers and Tradespersons to undertake a range of maintenance and support tasks on buildings in the Newtownabbey area. The position also includes driving duties, operating box vans to transport tools and materials to various sites. This is a temporary role for a minimum of 3 months, offering an hourly pay rate of £13.69, with an increased offer based upon experience. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
What the Job Entails:
- Carry out general property maintenance on NI Housing Executive properties.
- Cut and maintain grassed areas and perform basic groundskeeping tasks.
- Carry out power washing of external surfaces as required.
- Lay flags and carry out small concrete repairs.
- Install, repair, and maintain fencing.
- Perform painting and minor decorating tasks.
- Clear and maintain gutters, drains, and external water management systems.
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to sites using company vehicles.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times.
What We Need From You:
- Minimum 6 months relevant experience.
- Willing to undergo Access NI.
- Full, Clean UK Drive Licence.
