Deputy Service Manager to work within a residential care home in Dundonald, supporting 16 residents with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered in full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the service, supporting staff to provide safe, effective and compassionate care.

A strong commitment to person-centred care is essential, ensuring that dignity, respect, choice, consent and inclusion are embedded in everyday practice and reflected in all aspects of service delivery. This is a temporary position for a period of six months, working 39.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and participation in an on-call rota. The rate of pay will range between £19.50 and £23.50 per hour shift dependent.

What We Need From You

  • Minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care
  • Minimum of 3 years residential experience, including 2 years experience in staff supervision/management
  • Experience of supervisions, appraisals, medication management and RQIA liaison
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, including managing behaviours that challenge
  • Experience of quality assurance monitoring
  • Registered with NISCC or NMC
