First Choice are currently recruiting a part time domestic assistant to work with our Client Abbeyfield and Wesley, at their Hamilton Road and Ward Avenue, Bangor sites. These roles will be up to 16 hours per week, working 9am to 1pm, and are initially required for 1 month, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate for this role will be paid £13 per hour, and must display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The main duties of this role will be:
- Provide high standards of domestic support within a residential care environment for older adults
- Ensure all communal areas and residents' rooms are cleaned, sanitised, and maintained in line with hygiene and health and safety standards
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and distributing personal clothing and linen
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to ensure a safe living environment for residents
- Build positive relationships with residents, contributing to a friendly and comfortable home environment
- Deliver respectful and compassionate service, maintaining dignity and privacy for all residents at all times
What We Need From You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- At least 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar role
- Willing to undertake an Access NI check
- Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
