We are currently recruiting 2 x Payment Officers to join the Financial Support Services team for the Northern Trust. These roles are based in Ballymena and are offered on a temporary basis for approximately 36 months, with an immediate start available. The positions are full-time, 5 days per week, working 9:00am - 5:00pm, and offer a competitive pay rate of £13.57 per hour. The roles will be on-site initially, with the opportunity for hybrid working following a successful induction period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payments for Self-Directed Support, including Direct Payments and Managed Budgets
  • Manage Direct Payments, Managed Budgets and Adoption Allowance finances
  • Check agreements are followed and calculate monthly payments and annual increases
  • Act as the main contact for service users and Trust staff with payment queries
  • Issue financial letters such as surplus balance, overpayment and reminder letters
  • Support month-end and year-end finance tasks, including reconciliations and reports
  • Help prepare reports, monitor KPIs and support audits

What We Need From You

  • 3 years relevant finance experience
  • Relevant experience includes working in an office-based financial environment such as making payments, receipting cash, working with budgetary reports, or assisting in the preparation of accounts.
