We are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to work within the Western Health & Social Care Trust to join the Discharge Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, helping to facilitate safe and effective patient discharges from hospital.

The successful candidate will work within the hospital discharge team, assessing patients' functional abilities, supporting discharge planning, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions from hospital to community settings.

Position Details:

  • Location: Altnagelvin Hospital
  • Pay Rate: £19.78 per hour
  • Enhanced Rates: Weekend and overtime rates available as required
  • Contract: Temporary ongoing position (minimum 6 months) with potential for extension
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Part-time hours may be considered

What We Need From You:

  • BSc (Hons) Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
  • Full, valid driving licence with access to a car
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check
