We have an excellent opportunity for a Learning Disability Nurse to work within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) based in the Holywood area. This role will be working within the Learning Disability Services and offers the opportunity to support children with learning disabilities to achieve positive health outcomes and maintain independence. This position is initially for a 3-month period with the potential for extension, starting immediately upon completion of relevant checks.
This role has an hourly pay rate of £22-£35 per hour shift dependent.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
- Day shifts and night shifts available
- Day Shift Patterns: 8.00am-23.00pm
- Waking Night Pattern: 23.00pm-8.00am
The role requires experience in supporting individuals with complex learning disability needs, managing challenging behaviours, and providing personal care. Candidates should hold, or be willing to undertake, Advanced Safety Intervention Training (CPI), with the full 5-day programme likely to be required. We welcome applications from Learning Disability Nurses with relevant experience in learning disability services and positive behaviour support.
What We Need From You:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Safety intervention - advanced 4 day (CPI certified)
- Preferably experience with adults/children's learning disability
- Experience of providing personal care
- Experience of residential care/managing challenging behaviour
