National timber merchant are looking for an experienced HGV2 Driver to join a busy and friendly timber merchant based in Gateshead.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday – 7:00am start, finish around 4:30pm
- £14.00 per hour basic
- Overtime after 8 hours at £21.00 per hour
- Holiday pay accrued weekly (paid separately)
- Guaranteed 8 hours per day
The Role:
As a HGV2 Driver, you’ll be delivering timber products to construction sites across the North East. You can expect up to 8 drops per day (sometimes 2 drops to the same site). Loads will need strapping down securely, and while many are forklifted off, you’ll need to assist with offloading when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid HGV2 Licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience securing loads with straps
- Ability to work safely and professionally on busy sites
- Access to a PC or laptop to complete digital application packs (emailed to you)
Please note: While this is regular work, it’s not suitable for HGV2 Drivers already in permanent employment, due to the role being agency work.
