We are looking to recruit a hardworking, reliable, and dedicated Criminal Defence Solicitor.

Essential Requirements:

  • Hold a current Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years continued experience within criminal defence work
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional client management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Duty Solicitor Panel membership would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients at the Police Station
  • Represent clients at the Magistrates Courts, to include Trials
  • Act as Litigator in Crown Court cases
  • Represent clients for varied offences, ranging from road traffic offences to serious sexual, drug and fraud cases
  • Maintain Professional Development

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with additional out of hours police station call outs, when necessary, which are remunerated on a 50% split fee basis. Saturday/Bank Holiday court representation will be an occasional requirement. The office closes for lunch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm (subject to diary commitments).
