Our Tewkesbury based client has an urgent requirement for a Receptionist for approximately 2 months. Candidates will need excellent interpersonal skills and a smart appearance. Previous reception experience is an advantage, but good IT skills are required.
Dates: week commencing May 18th until July 18th (possibly longer)
Hours: Monday - Thursday, working 08:30 - 16:30 with a 30-minute lunch break. Friday 08:30 - 16:00
Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour plus holiday pay entitlement (£1.53 per hour)
Overall Objective of Role: To assist in providing a highly effective and professional Reception service for all companies located on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visitor Management
- Welcome visitors on arrival.
- Assist visitors with the self-check-in kiosk when issues arise.
- Notify hosts when required.
- Manage visitor parking queries, including booking spaces and directing visitors to the correct parking areas.
- Man the entrance gate, performing visual checks and controlling visitor/contractor access.
- Maintain ANPR (car plate) administration.
- Open and lock the reception area (unlock AM, lock PM), including lights and doors.
- Assist with emergency procedures for visitors waiting in reception (e.g., fire alarm or fire drill).
- Use of SymmetryGuest.
- Collect and sign for morning post by granting access to the postman, signing handheld devices, and receiving mail.
- Sort incoming post by department/recipient for collection.
- Operate the franking machine at the end of the day, weighing and franking post for each department/company.
- Handle incoming phone calls via RingCentral.
- Manage access card collection for employees/visitors.
- Control stationery stock levels.
- Prepare post reports for company recharge.
- Manage consumables stock (ink, franking labels, visitor badges).
- Oversee photocopiers, including printer cartridge recycling and paper stock control.
- Pro-actively seek ways in which general improvements can be made within the reception area.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
