Great opportunity for an experienced QC Tester to join a well established organisation near Bishops Cleeve. Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, the key duty is to ensure products are at the correct standard before, during and after processing. The ideal candidate will have paper based manufacturing experience but must have a QC background.
Key duties will include:
- Testing products against specific customer requirements
- Good housekeeping
- Record keeping
- Raising concerns regarding quality quickly
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all safety checks are completed before operation of equipment
- Ensure all safety concerns are addressed by raising PMCs and/or informing the Lab Team Leader
- Participate in safety audits of QC
- Ensure floor and workbenches in Lab are free from waste and other debris
- Ensure Lab is organized to allow efficient testing of paper
- Ensure 6s is maintained at all times
- Complete all routine testing accurately and in a timely manner and ensure non-compliant media is identified as per procedures
- Ensure test data is recorded accurately & legibly
- Ensure accurate recording of test results in TIPS
- Review ALL test data and ensure any deviation away from the target spec is highlighted & communicated to the machine operator
- Execute testing on incoming raw materials as required and record the results accordingly
- Ensure clear communication with Machine house, Slitting & Yard with reference to any quality concern and in managing non-compliant material
- Support Operations with problem solving related to testing, advice on quality standards and appropriate status changes in Tips
- Ensure CoA’s are processed against all shipments and that the media released meets all defined and agreed quality test specifications
- Ensure all testers comply with test methods and ensure all non-compliances are managed appropriately
Candidates will need:
- Quality Control testing experience from within a manufacturing environment
- Good IT skills
- Accurate data entry
- Own transport due to rural location
