Recycling Operative – Belfast

Belfast City Council requires a Recycling Operative to work at Blackstaff Way Recycling Centre.

The main duties will include ensuring that all refuse and recyclable material is removed from all premises, transporting priority waste to designated transfer or disposal sites, safely collecting, separating and loading any segregated waste as well as carrying out cleansing duties.

The role will be full-time, working Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am – 8pm. Initially this role will be for 3 months with the possibility of an extension based on performance. The hourly rate is £13.91.

What We Need From You

  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs including English
  • 1 year experience working in a similar environment
  • Previous experience dealing with members of the public
