Overview: Category C1 Driver required to work with the Newry Mourne and Down District Council. There are vacancies available both in Newry and Downpatrick. These are temporary positions, initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The working hours are 36 per week with an hourly rate of £14.07 per hour.
Responsibilities: The postholder will provide a safe and efficient street cleansing and refuse service across the Council area, operating vehicles and equipment, and maintaining public spaces. Duties include litter and debris removal, refuse collection, reporting defects and interacting with the public. The successful candidate will be required to occasionally work overtime or public holidays.
What We Need From You:
- Current Category C driving licence and C1 +E is desirable
- Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- 1 years experience driving vehicles that require a Category C1 licence.
