We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant for Antrim Area Hospital. This position will be on a rota basis working throughout the week, including weekends. The pay rate is between £12.51 to £22.90 per hour. This is a temporary position initially lasting up to three months with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and service of meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Supporting food service across wards and the hospital restaurant.
- Ensuring meals are delivered accurately in line with dietary and menu requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and service areas.
- Washing utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment as required.
- Carrying out temperature checks and basic food safety records.
- Assisting with stock control.
- Following all health, safety, and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking.
- Good working knowledge of CoSHH regulations.
- Experience working in a catering environment.
