We are a leading supplier of high-quality, pre-owned food machinery throughout the UK and Europe, our warehouses are packed with a vast range of equipment ready for a second life. We are looking for a versatile Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This isn't your typical "sit-at-the-bench" role. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end refurbishment process—from the initial deep clean of incoming stock to complex electrical fault finding and final site delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Stripping down, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of food production machinery (mixers, conveyors, ovens, etc.).
- Refurbishment: Performing deep cleans and aesthetic touch-ups to ensure machines meet our high resale standards.
- Fault Finding: Diagnosing and fixing both mechanical wear-and-tear and electrical control issues.
- Logistics: Operating a forklift to move heavy machinery safely within our warehouses and loading/unloading onto lorries.
- Delivery: Transporting and occasionally assisting with the installation/removal of machinery at customer sites.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified: NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent. We also highly value candidates who are Qualified by Experience (QBE) with a proven track record.
- Multitasked: Someone who is happy to pivot between technical repairs and general warehouse duties/cleaning.
- Forklift Competent: Experience and/or a valid license in forklift truck driving is essential.
- Adaptable: With multiple warehouses of stock, you need to be organized and capable of working independently and able to manage your time.
- Driver: A full UK driving license is required for site deliveries.
- Flexibility: On occasion you will need to travel to customer sites to assist in installation or removal of machinery or carry out repairs. Some overtime may be required and you must have the ability to prioritise your workload.
Uniform will be provided and there is free parking onsite.
