First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have a fantastic opportunity for a Multiskilled Joiner to join the Property Care Team working within our Tenanted department. This is full time (37 hours per week) carrying out repairs and maintenance to First Choice Homes (FCHO) properties and any other properties for which FCHO is responsible for, including Public Buildings and any associated contracts.

In this role, you will play a key part in improving lives by helping us keep our homes safe, well maintained and welcoming. As a Multi Skilled Joiner at FCHO, you will make a difference by:
- Delivering high-quality joinery and multi-skilled repairs across FCHO homes, public buildings and associated contracts, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.
- Providing an excellent customer experience by working respectfully in tenants' homes, communicating clearly and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Promoting safe and compliant working practices by following health and safety legislation, risk assessments and organisational procedures at all times.
- Using your skills and initiative to diagnose repair issues, manage materials and complete work efficiently within a pre-allocated appointment system.
- Acting as a positive ambassador for FCHO by role-modelling our values, supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has a recognised qualification in joinery (NVQ Level 2 minimum, working towards or holding Level 3) and proven experience delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance in occupied and void properties.
- Is a competent, multi-skilled operative with experience in supporting trades (such as plumbing) and the ability to diagnose faults, problem-solve and complete repairs efficiently.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work, with a commitment to working safely at all times.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with tenants, colleagues and stakeholders, delivering excellent customer service and treating people with dignity and respect.
- Is organised and self-motivated, able to manage a workload within a pre-allocated appointment system and maintain accurate digital or written records.
- Is confident working independently, using initiative to make decisions within agreed guidelines while knowing when to seek advice or support.
- Understands the importance of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and consistently applies inclusive behaviours in their day-to-day work.
- Is a positive ambassador for FCHO, role-modelling organisational values and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.
