We're looking for an exceptional leader to join us as Director of Development and Regeneration. This is a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of one of Greater Manchester's largest housing associations and play a pivotal role in delivering our long-term growth and regeneration ambitions.

Managing more than 11,500 homes and holding the highest G1/V1 regulatory rating for governance and financial viability, FCHO combines a strong social purpose with financial strength, stability and ambition. About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Services, you will provide strategic leadership for Development and Regeneration across FCHO. You will lead the development and delivery of our Homes Strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, investment and regeneration that support our long-term objectives and deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and communities.

Working closely with the Executive Team, Board, Homes England, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, local authorities and development partners, you will provide strategic direction, assurance and leadership across a significant development and regeneration portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, financial performance and risk management while creating the conditions for sustainable growth and innovation.

What you'll bring

  • A proven track record of leading large-scale development and regeneration programmes.
  • Strong record of ensuring Regulatory and Statutory compliance and giving assurance to Board across the program.
  • Significant experience of strategic leadership within housing, regeneration, development or a related sector.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness, including program, budget and complex feasibility management.
  • Experience of working with Boards, Executive Teams, funders and strategic partners.
  • A strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to develop, motivate, inspire staff and transform teams to ensure a high performing department.
  • A passion for creating homes, places and opportunities that improve lives.
