First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have an exciting opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our growing Community Safety team on a 12 Month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity whether you’re an experienced ASB professional or if you have relevant experience and are looking to build a career in housing and community safety. You’ll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team that is passionate about making a real difference. ASB is a key priority for FCHO, and this role plays a vital part in helping us create safer, stronger communities.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Help residents feel safe, supported and able to thrive in their homes.
  • Manage anti-social behaviour and housing fraud cases from initial report through to resolution, balancing early intervention and support with enforcement where needed.
  • Resolve neighbour disputes to preparing cases for court, your work will have a direct impact on people’s lives every day.
  • Work closely with partner agencies and internal teams to deliver joined-up solutions and protect vulnerable residents.

You will:

  • Manage a caseload of ASB and housing fraud cases from investigation through to resolution.
  • Carry out victim vulnerability assessments and ensure appropriate support is in place.
  • Investigate cases, gather evidence and prepare documentation for legal action where required.
  • Resolve low-level ASB quickly and effectively to prevent escalation.
  • Prepare and present cases in court, acting as a professional witness.
  • Work in partnership with Police, local authorities and community safety partners.
  • Support residents by signposting to services to help sustain their tenancy.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on ASB and tenancy breaches.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service reporting and improvements.

You might be an experienced ASB officer in a social housing organisation though we’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including housing, community safety, policing, social work, environmental health or enforcement.

You’ll need:

  • BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Neighbourhood Nuisance and ASB Case Working or equivalent and a knowledge of housing law and antisocial behaviour legislation.
