About the role

First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst (Insight & Performance) to join our Business Intelligence team and help shape how data and insight are used across the organisation.

This is a key business partnering role where you will work with services across FCHO to understand their priorities, translate business needs into meaningful analysis and provide clear, trusted insight that supports better decisions and service improvement.

You will design and develop dashboards and reports, undertake deep-dive analysis and support statutory and regulatory reporting.

You will also help FCHO move beyond hindsight reporting by identifying trends, performance drivers and emerging risks, contributing to a more proactive and insight-led organisation.

The impact you’ll make

You will provide high-quality performance reporting and analysis that gives colleagues, leaders and the Board a clear and consistent view of organisational performance.

  • Act as a trusted business partner to directorates, translating service priorities into analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Provide proactive insight into performance, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and the root causes of performance issues.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to organisational KPIs and the performance management framework.
  • Support Executive, Board and Committee reporting, ensuring insight is accurate, consistent and clearly presented.
  • Support statutory and regulatory reporting, including Tenant Satisfaction Measures and Statistical Data Returns.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis, including analysis of survey data and customer feedback.
  • Translate complex data into clear, engaging and actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and views to support reporting and analysis.
  • Work closely with Analytics Engineers and Data colleagues to shape and use trusted analytical datasets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and analytical processes.
  • Help embed a data-driven culture by supporting colleagues to understand and use data effectively.
  • Our ideal candidate

You will be an analytical, curious and collaborative BI professional who can combine strong technical skills with effective stakeholder engagement and data storytelling.

  • A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent practical experience in a data, analytics or technology-related field.
  • Experience working in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills, including extracting and manipulating data.
  • Experience delivering performance reporting and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • The ability to turn data into meaningful, actionable insight that supports decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and data storytelling skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

It would also be great if you have

  • An A Level in Maths or Statistics.
  • Experience using Python or similar analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of predictive or advanced analytics techniques.
  • Experience analysing survey or customer data.
  • Experience supporting regulatory or statutory reporting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Fabric or another modern data platform.
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Copilot, Open AI or Gemini.
  • Experience within social housing or another regulated sector.
