We’re on the hunt for a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Internal Communications, Engagement and Culture team to work alongside our existing Senior Graphic Designer. This role will support the roll out our new brand internally, enhancing internal communications, and driving employee engagement.
This 18-month fixed-term contract will involve creating dynamic, eye-catching content that engages, informs, and motivates employees across multiple platforms.
Your role will involve designing impactful visuals, including graphics, animations, and videos, that enhance our communications and strengthen our company culture. You’ll ensure employees feel connected, engaged, and aligned with our purpose.
This role allows you to work primarily from home, with just one or two days a week in our office in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. If you prefer to spend more time in the office, that’s perfectly fine too.

- Visual Storytelling: Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly through visuals.
- Adobe Creative Suite: Proven experience in (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro and After Effects) and other design software and MSOffice software.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, spoken and visual communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively to influence and manage stakeholders.
- Adaptability and time management: Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs while maintaining high standards of creativity, attention to detail, and quality under tight deadlines.
What’s involved:
Internal Communications Design
- You’ll create visually compelling, on-brand graphics for various communication channels (email, intranet, digital screens, etc).
- You’ll develop creative campaigns that effectively communicate our company’s purpose and strategy.
- You’ll develop and own studio workflow; regularly reviewing it to continuously improve the process to achieve better outcomes for colleagues and stakeholders.
- You’ll work with internal teams to develop engaging materials that promote company culture and employee morale.
Brand Consistency & Visual Identity
- You’ll ensure consistency across all communications by adhering to brand guidelines and collaborating with external teams (Marketing, PR, Brand).
- You’ll train and coach internal teams on brand guidelines, design standards, and accessibility best practices, ensuring everyone is aligned with the brand vision and understands how to apply it consistently.
- You’ll work closely with the brand team to evolve the brand and update guidelines, ensuring that the brand remains internally fit for purpose and that guidance/templates are clearly documented for consistent application.
- You’ll develop and manage comprehensive brand libraries, curating relevant and eye-catching assets for seamless use across various platforms and channels.
Digital & Print Assets
- You’ll design both digital assets (email banners, social media graphics, moving images, internal content) and print materials (flyers, posters, handouts) for internal communication to name a few.
- You’ll ensure designs are optimised for different platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- You’ll partner with HR, leadership, and our internal communication & culture team to understand key messaging and design needs.
- You’ll take feedback from stakeholders, refining designs to ensure they meet business objectives and design standards.
- You’ll proactively coach colleagues and stakeholders on design best practices.
Creative Problem-Solving & Innovation
- You’ll think creatively to find solutions for internal communications challenges, offering innovative design ideas, which improve the impact and reach.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree / HND in Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong experience in graphic design.
- Proven experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro and After Effects) and other design software and MSOffice software.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work, including email templates, animations, video, posters, and digital assets. Illustration skills are a bonus.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and ensuring design consistency across various mediums.
- Able to incorporate accessibility best practices into all visual design work, ensuring that graphics, typography, and colour choices are inclusive accessible.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, and colour theory.
- Experience within the insurance, financial, or corporate sector is a plus.
Key Skills
- Visual Storytelling: Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly through visuals.
- Strong written, spoken and visual communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively to influence and manage stakeholders.
- Experience with video editing and motion graphics (Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro) a plus
