We’re looking for a Personal Injury Technical Claims Coach to join our Customer & Operations team in either our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex offices. Reporting into the Head of Personal Injury Claims, this role will support the Head of Personal Injury Claims and Technical Claims Lead by providing day-to-day technical support to Claims Handlers/Negotiators and assisting in claims handling strategies and improvements.

  • Personal Injury claims handling knowledge and experience
  • Technical understanding of claims processes
  • A mindset geared towards continuous improvement with auditing and feedback skills
  • People skills to manage stakeholders at all levels

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting claims process improvements through research, analysis, and pilot programs, including stakeholder updates
  • Providing technical support to Claims Handlers/Negotiators via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face
  • Ensuring claims are handled to a high standard, processes are followed, and reserves are accurate
  • Conducting claim reviews and coaching sessions to ensure adherence to tactics and identify development needs
  • Supporting claims leakage reduction through coaching and feedback
  • Creating and maintaining training materials aligned with best practices and legal requirements
  • Delivering technical training to new and existing team members
  • Conducting litigation review meetings and technical audits of external suppliers
  • Staying updated on market trends and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Experience & knowledge:

  • Strong motor claims experience and technical claims handling background
  • Knowledge of motor claims processes, legislation, and FCA requirements
  • Experience in coaching, training, and providing feedback

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
