We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team. As a Health Care Assistant you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their day to day care, and ensuring this is done with compassion, kindness and respect. We are seeking individuals who have a can-do attitude and genuinely want to make a difference to other people's lives.

Duties:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on their needs, progress, health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of individual care plans.
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used safely and maintained properly and effectively.
  • Accompany and assist residents to appointments out in the community.
  • Demonstrate person centred care and promote independence.
  • Carry out light domestic duties, including laundry and clearing up after mealtimes.
  • Report any concerns or issues to senior staff.
  • Help serve food and assist residents with eating and drinking.
  • Follow risk assessments and care plans at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment at all times by following regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
  • Assist with end of life care for residents when required.
  • Organise and encourage residents to participate in activities inside and outside of the home.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of using Nourish would be great, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Basic IT skills are required.
