THE ROLE: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Excellence, the Junior Business Analyst will support the Information Technology team and business stakeholders in project management activities including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, documenting processes, and assisting with solution implementations. This is an entry‑level role ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, contribute to projects, and collaborate on process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will receive coaching and mentorship from Senior Analysts, providing valuable opportunities for professional development and skill‑building. This role provides the right candidate the opportunity to work with all levels and departments within the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Business Engagement: Collaborate directly with stakeholders to understand and document business user needs. Assist in assessing and mapping current business processes. Translate business needs into clear, detailed specifications under the guidance of senior team members. Support the creation of technical and business process documentation using established processes and templates. Review and revise training and knowledge media for implementation and operational use.
- Process Improvement: Assist in gathering and documenting requirements based on business needs. Participate in process mapping and workflow analysis activities. Help identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of new or revised processes. Contribute to preparing documentation for automation and process changes. Support User Acceptance Testing and help document results.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with business and IT teams to support successful project delivery. Assist the business in refining processes to improve workflows and efficiency. Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure requirements and solutions are well understood. Provide Level I support for IT SaaS applications, escalating issues as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 0–2 years of experience in a business analyst, project coordinator, or similar role (internships and co‑op placements count).
- Completion of a post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with IT concepts and business process documentation is an asset.
