We have an exciting opportunity to work for a nationally recognised business, considered to be the leader in its field. Pay rates from £15.32 per hour depending on shifts. The role is based in Ware. The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately weighing vehicles entering and leaving the site, recording data, issuing tickets, and ensuring compliance with site procedures. The role is critical to maintaining accurate records, efficient traffic flow, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the weighbridge system accurately and efficiently
- Weigh inbound and outbound vehicles and issue correct documentation
- Record and maintain accurate weight, delivery, and dispatch records
- Verify driver documentation and delivery details
- Communicate clearly with drivers, site staff, and supervisors
- Monitor site traffic flow and ensure safe vehicle movements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the weighbridge office
- Report discrepancies, system faults, or non-compliance issues
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies
- Previous experience in a weighbridge, logistics, or administrative role preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (weighbridge software, email, spreadsheets)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Experience in waste management or logistics operations
