We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role requires the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, and involves ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Shift: 05:30AM-17:30pm, 4 days on, 4 days off

PAY RATES: £17.86/H, OVERTIME £26.79/H AND BANK HOLIDAY £35.72/H

Duties:

  • Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, securing loads properly for transportation.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by the company.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on the road and at delivery sites.

Requirements:

  • A valid HGV Licence (Minimum Class C)
  • A Tachograph (Tacho) Card
  • A CPC (Driver Qualification Card)
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • 5 years of checkable employment history

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is an advantage.
  • A valid commercial driving licence (CDL) is essential.
  • Strong navigation skills with knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
