We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Cleaner to join a recognised company based in Sittingbourne, ME10, Kent. As an Industrial Cleaner colleague, you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance.
Shifts: 07:00-15:00 Monday to Friday
Pay rate: £11.75 per hour increasing to £12.00 after the probation period
Duties:
- To achieve and maintain a high level of housekeeping in production, including the automation, spray booth and flo-fit areas.
- When required, to degrease the floor and machines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- To ensure all recoverable products are either packed or, if below quality standard, sent to the regrind area for reprocessing.
- No raw material or fittings are permitted to be 'discarded' without authorisation from the Supervisor.
- Any hazard to health and safety noticed whilst performing your duties must be reported to your Supervisor/Production Manager immediately.
- To be responsible for ensuring that suitable cleaning equipment/materials are available at all times to enable the fulfilment of duties.
- To report any leaks on either the injection moulding machines or equipment in the area that requires attention to either the setters/supervisors or Production Manager.
- To understand work instructions and procedures to complete the given task efficiently.
- To ensure that the level of housekeeping in the department is maintained at a high standard at all times and free of any potential hazards.
- To be flexible and assist/complete any other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- To cover for sickness and holiday periods when requested.
- To be able to work as part of a team or independently for long periods, without constant supervision.
- To show self-determination to drive up the level of housekeeping.
