Proactively manage and motivate the team during shifts, driving engagement and high performance.
Investigate all quality logs thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process and manage claims relating to transport providers efficiently.
Promote a strong culture of excellent customer service, ensuring a 'right first time' approach.
Ensure full compliance with company and customer procedures, particularly regarding Health & Safety standards.
Monitor and enforce adherence to operational processes and procedures across the department.
Plan and manage staffing levels, including recruitment and coordination with agencies, to meet performance targets.
Drive employee engagement through regular 1-2-1s, development plans, and participation in site initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Warehouse, Driver, and Planning teams to ensure seamless operations.
Investigate and resolve performance, conduct, and capability issues in a timely and professional manner.
Adjust transport plans as required, providing feedback to Planning teams to maximise efficiency and trailer utilisation.
Deliver against KPIs set by the Transport Manager, ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved.
Oversee the smooth execution of daily delivery operations.
Support training and development for both yourself and team members.
Contribute to achieving high customer satisfaction levels in line with NPS targets.
Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with legal, statutory, and professional standards.
Coordinate vehicle scheduling, ensuring all vehicles are booked, loaded, and dispatched on time.
Monitor inbound vehicle compliance and report any outbound defects promptly.
Communicate potential service failures or risks to customers in a timely manner.
Create and oversee all documentation related to export deliveries and dispatches.
