Role Overview

Our client is the UK's leading supplier of food-to-go packaging, recognised for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and exceptional customer service. With a strong and growing presence across the UK, they are now seeking a reliable and flexible Relief Driver to join their team at the Chessington depot. This is a key operational role, providing planned holiday cover and short-notice sickness cover across day and night shifts. While the role does require flexibility, shifts are predominantly planned in advance in weekly blocks, offering structure and visibility wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries to customer locations across London and the South East
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for both day and night routes
  • Ensure timely, safe and accurate delivery of goods
  • Maintain high standards of customer service at all delivery points
  • Complete daily vehicle checks during compliance with road safety and company policies
  • Communicate effectively with transport and depot teams regarding routes and schedules

Shift Patterns

  • Night Shifts: 21:30 - 05:30 (London routes)
  • Day Shifts: 05:30 - 14:30 (London & South East routes)

Shifts are generally planned in advance in weekly blocks (either days or nights), although there may be occasional short-notice cover required for sickness absence.

Pay & Benefits

  • £26,830 basic salary per annum
  • £100 monthly attendance bonus
  • Night shift allowance: £11.90 per night
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Stable employer with strong UK presence
