About the Role
We are currently recruiting for our client, a Thailand-based global leader in food and agricultural production, who are looking for Production Operatives to join their manufacturing operation in Newmarket. The role involves the production manufacture assembly packing and hygiene cleaning of food products in line with company procedures and product specifications while maintaining high standards of food safety quality and efficiency.
Salary & Benefits
- £12.85 per hour for Production Operatives
- Overtime paid at 1.25x standard rate

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out production packing assembly and hygiene tasks in line with company procedures
- Operate machinery in accordance with training and competency levels
- Maintain high standards of food safety hygiene quality and housekeeping
- Ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned to required standards before and during production
- Follow a clean as you go approach ensuring work areas remain safe and organised
- Complete quality checks including temperature visual quality weight length and labelling checks
- Ensure products and racks are correctly labelled to maintain traceability
- Work as part of the production team to achieve daily targets while maintaining product quality and safety standards
- Support product changeovers and machine set-up activities where required
- Accurately complete production paperwork and records
- Report hazards defects and production issues to the relevant Line Leader
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety quality efficiency and hygiene
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety hygiene and health and safety standards would be advantageous
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Newmarket
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the operation when required
