We have an exciting opportunity to work for a nationally recognised logistics business, considered to be the leader in its field. Pay rates from £18.27 per hour for night shifts. The role is based in Bedford - Marston Gate. We offer full support for you to succeed in your role!

Shifts: 22:00-06:00 any 5 nights from 7

Pay: From £18.27 per hour, paid weekly

Main Duties:

  • Take accountability for own health and safety and fully support site objectives
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Parking trailers in the yard including reversing into bays
  • Opening and closing trailer doors and curtains
  • Vehicle and trailer allocation
  • Liaising with the warehouse on vehicles to be unloaded
  • Liaising with the warehouse on vehicles to be loaded
  • Maintaining a 7 day digi download on every vehicle
  • Daily vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a daily check record
  • Check vehicle cleanliness and record any new vehicle or trailer damage
  • Liaise with transport and fleet coordinator regarding fleet maintenance
  • Help manage defects and VOR's
  • Remove load security measures from loaded trailers
  • Assist the loading team with positioning the load on the trailer bed
