First Call Contract Services are currently recruiting on behalf of our well‑known, industry‑leading client based in the Runcorn area. We are seeking several experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers (Category C) to join their team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, typically starting at 6am
Pay Rate: £16.23 per hour PAYE
Location: Runcorn, WA7
Job Type: Ongoing position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate
The Role
- Carry out multi‑drop deliveries of alcohol to bars and restaurants within the local area.
- Check and secure customer orders before departure to ensure they are correctly packaged for transport.
- Communicate any delivery delays, shortages, or issues directly with customers.
- Assist with unloading orders at customer premises.
- Collect empty kegs, pallets, and returns, ensuring they are handled and stored properly back at the depot.
- Complete all EPOD, paperwork, and administrative tasks as required.
- Liaise with the Transport Management team regarding any vehicle concerns or delays.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
- Valid and in‑date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points on licence (minor offences only).
- Solid understanding of Working Time Directive legislation.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- A proactive, safety‑first approach to work.
