First Call Contract Services Ltd are currently recruiting experienced HGV 1 drivers for 2 -4 store deliveries per day for our Bedford based client, Pay rates from Β£19.50 to Β£22.25 , this is a great opportunity for HGV class 1 drivers to secure a long term position with great earning potential. (Our client also requires several permanent HGV 1 Trampers, working a 4 on 4 off rolling pattern). There are several shift patterns and times to suit all drivers i.e. 4 on 2 off rolling. 5 on 2 off rolling Wednesday/ Saturday to Sunday Fixed Thursday/Friday to Monday/Tuesday fixed. Average 9hr to 12hr shifts. Great opportunity to build overtime Start times available are between. 10.00 β 12.00 12.00 β 14.00 13.00 β 15.00 please note, on the odd occasion, there could be slight variations outside of these grouped times arising from planning requirements (rare) and any unforeseen programme issues, however, planners keep inside the group time agreed by the driver 99% of the time. Duties include, but are not limited to: Pre journey vehicle checks. Complete vehicles check sheets, reporting all damage or defects prior to leaving site. Uplift cages and pallets from the previous delivery. Complete all paperwork/delivery notes and return to the transport admin clerk Rates of Pay Β£19.50 Monday β Friday Β£22.25 Saturday & Sunday Β£22.25 Bank Holiday Requirements You must have a minimum 6 months HGV C1 driving experience No more than 9 penalty points, IN,DD,DR.TT codes are not accepted due to insurance clauses. Current UK Driving licence, Driver qualification card and CPC card A good understanding of WTD rules and regulations. Physically fit and able to pull pallets and cages. Be professional, courteous, reliable and punctual at all times. Have your own PPE.
