Help passengers start their journey the right way. We are currently recruiting Passenger Service Agents to support airline operations at Edinburgh Airport, assisting travellers flying to a wide range of destinations across Europe. This customer-facing role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy, fast-moving environment. You'll be involved in different stages of the passenger journey, helping ensure flights operate smoothly, safely, and on schedule. Every day is different, and you'll play an important part in delivering a positive airport experience from check-in through to boarding. Full training will be provided. Applicants from customer service, hospitality, retail, events, travel, or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting customers at check-in desks and boarding gates
- Verifying passports, travel documents, and boarding passes
- Handling baggage enquiries and processing excess baggage payments
- Providing support to passengers during delays or disruptions
- Responding to customer questions and resolving issues professionally
- Preparing gate and check-in areas before departures
- Following all airport safety, security, and operational procedures
You'll help create a welcoming and efficient experience for passengers throughout their time at the airport.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 18 years old
- Friendly, professional, and confident communicating with people
- Able to stay calm and organised under pressure
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Flexible with shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Confident using basic computer systems
- Previous airport experience is not required - a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are what matter most.
What you can expect
We are looking for candidates available to start soon and will support you through every stage of the onboarding process. This includes pre-employment checks such as background screening, employment references, and mandatory drug and alcohol testing required for airport positions. Before starting the role, you'll complete a full induction and training programme to help you feel prepared and confident in your new position. Uniform and required equipment will also be provided.
